Guest Poet Matthew Fry: Rainbow Child

 This was a magical comment that I received in response to my poem "Wishes Upon a Rainbow. It's from my very special friend Matt Fry. Matt has been so influential in my poetry, he has really taught me how to discover  my creative juices and has given me so much love and encouragement in my poetry. He is a magical kind of guy and I am one of millions who has been blessed by his dazzling spirit! Moreover he is what I call a WonderfulAbulous friend in a trazzillion :D I am very lucky! Rainbow Child

Melanie I see a rainbow child dancing in your heart
 

She leaps and twirls so elegantly as I watch her from afar
 

As she spins the rainbow colours are unfurling all around
 

Like beautiful coloured ribbons,
 

Yet they never touch the ground..
 

Lifted by the winds of grace
 

Wishes carried to the heavens
 

There they take their precious place
 

Wondrous hues combining seven..
 

Looking up the rainbow child smiles unto the sky
 

For she is the rainbow maker,
 

And rainbows sparkle in her eyes.
